I'm lucky to still have some pet sitting clients, because some of my other income sources have dried up. It's not brain surgery, but it's work. I have a website and most people get my phone number from that and they call for pet sitting services. And on top of that, I get my fix from the little pets I visit. One of my current clients, Pinta, is a very friendly kitty cat who's owner went away for two weeks.
I like her so much I was there for nearly an hour yesterday.
We sit on the front porch together, I read a book and drink green tea, and she watches the birds in the yard.
Today I'm visiting a condo with three cats and a tiny little dog, and then after that I'm meeting a couple who want me to watch their yellow lab this weekend.
Then next week I have two golf tournaments to work at and then the SCORE off road race in Nevada. So even though one job has dried up, (and it was an awful, awful job anyway) other jobs have sprung up. That's how you survive in our town; have MANY jobs!!
