Governor Perry

I have never had luck posting links in my blog but I will at least cut and paste the address to the story:

Governor Perry, of Texas, shouted out something that's been whispered across the Southwest for a little while now: "Secession."
I've also heard that Chuck Norris has vowed that he would definitely serve as President of Texas when the secession happens. Would this ever happen? Who knows.
I for one am a true believer in the State's rights. Each state has its own laws, and they should all operate independantly of the Federal Government. Say for instance a state votes that medicinal marijuana is legal, as long as physicians control it. Fine, except the Federal laws supercede what the state laws govern and the physicians and patients end up hiding from the Feds. Do you know how many states have voted for medical marijuana? Several. But as long as the Feds are against it, it doesn't happen. People with debilitating pain are sneaking around trying not to get busted. That's pitiful.

But I found it a little amusing that in the article they mention that Governor Perry is 60 years old but..."telegenic and youthful," Why don't they just say it like it is? He's a FOX. That picture on the article doesn't do him justice. I have one that I took during the Republican National Convention when they were addressing the hurricane that was threatening the Gulf States. Gov Perry appeared on the big screens and when he did there was a collective "sigh" from all the females in the room.

Sigh.
