Big Meeting

Thursday night was nerve-wracking, because we had this big meeting planned for over a month. It's for the Community Investment Advisory Council that I am serving on, and we needed to have a public forum for citizens to come hear our presentation and give their opinions. I was nervous, I thought we were going to get slaughtered.

I had spent the previous three hours in another meeting, where everyone was arguing and shouting. So I was primed.

I drove up to the meeting place (City Council chambers) and expected to have to push my way into the doorway, because of all the people waiting there for the meeting to begin.

Well, I got a surprise. This is the view from my seat up front:



Not one person showed. Just us members of the committee. Not one person wanted to show up and tear us apart. Okay. Fine.
