This week has been hectic; I've been to the dentist, I've campaigned, I've done work on a couple of projects. Heck I even did some stuff that I'll get paid for!
So today is an office day. I have lots of things to catch up on, and it feels quite nice to just sit in my somewhat comfortable chair and type away.

Aaaah, February
February's almost done, it's our last chance to get some interesting weather before the Spring Breakers come and dance all over our town. This morning we woke up to some unexpected rain and dark dark clouds, and it was heavenly. I can say heavenly because we're in the desert and rain is quite unique and entertaining to us.
Alas, the rain only lasted a couple of hours and then it gave way to bright sunshine and an ever-increasing wind. A wind that is whipping out of the north. So, "gasp" we're turning off the air conditioner and tying down all the lawn furniture. No kidding, though, we had the A/C on last week. It was over 80 degrees.
Last weekend I worked at our annual Lincoln Day Dinner (photos soon, I promise) and this weekend I'm working at the annual Mark Hahn Memorial Jet Ski Race. It's 300 miles and it is on open water out on the lake. The racers do 10 mile laps, speed past me and my trusty group of scoring officials, and hopefully they complete all 300 miles under 6 hours. My hat's off to them, I couldn't complete one stinkin lap.
