Big Day on Campus

Would I dare support a candidate who doesn't have a sense of humor? Heck no.
Dana has had a very difficult summer with the campaign, and in a rare moment of ease he made a nice face for my camera at today's candidate forum.

And then there's the County Supervisor. I made him pose like a superhero and this is what appeared.

This is the gentleman I'm attending the Republican National Convention with, as his alternate delegate. His assistant asked me to take some photos of him today, to be used in press releases. I actually LOVE the superhero pose, it looks kind of cool.
He thinks I'm kidding.

I had to be dressy today, so I wore my Dillard's hat.

AND....on my way home from all my daily projects, I saw the storm clouds building from the South. This will HOPEFULLY result in a little thunderstorm!!!

New Job!

So, the boss man has been a real dick lately. And by lately I mean since January. He doesn't want to work, he doesn't want to manage his own debt, he just wants to show up at each event and take the credit for all the hard work. Meanwhile, he yells at me about every little thing he decides is wrong. Which is EVERYTHING.
Steve came by a little event we had, and heard how Todd was talking to me, and said, "Yeah, you're not staying at this job."
I have been toughing it out. Even when I found out from people the things that Todd was saying behind my back. And he was saying a lot. Awful things that made me look like a monster. I noticed in May that my emails were no longer coming to me. He'd had them re-routed to his in-box, as if to say that I couldn't be trusted with my own email. And I keep asking about my email. He just pretends like he doesn't know what I'm talking about.
I've put up with being talked to like I'm an idiot, I've put up with the demands, and I've put up with the extra work for a rediculous pay of $1,000 a month. When you add up the hours and the driving that I do in my own vehicle, it comes out to less than $10 an hour. Like, way less.
Last week Todd told a friend of mine (someone who he doesn't know is my friend) that I'm acting like Larry (his old manager) and that he'd be getting rid of me after the Regatta season ended in October. So I immediately got on the cell phone to Sprint to have my own phone account set up. I have my personal number on the company phone right now, and it takes about a week to get it transferred to another account.
The next day, an old friend called and offered me a pretty cool job with a local company that has a sort of advertising site. People log onto the site to get local business information. Someone needs to go visit these local businesses and get them to sign up for the advertising. Yeah, for a huge raise and a lot less frustration, I'LL DO IT!!!
I start Monday.
