Cow.....On.....Road

There's a road between Havasu and Phoenix called "Salome Road." It is a nice way to avoid the dangerous Interstate for a little while, and to see some nice scenery. It's also open range (as is most of Arizona I think) so there's signs on the side and spray painted lettering on the road that says

COW

ON

ROAD.

And it's true. I often see big ol' cows munching on grass or whatever next to the road. And many times I see the carcass of an unfortunate cow or bull that has decided to step out in front of a semi truck.

I always stop and yell at the cows. "Get off the road, dummy!"

This is what they do.

They stare at me.

As the sun set, we moved on down the road. Hoping not to hit a cow.
