The One in the Middle

There's always someone, somewhere, trying to get in the middle. Some ex wife, some ex girlfriend, some old flame, some trash from down the street that won't go away. It has been that way for me my entire adult life. Even in high school, the two or three boyfriends I had were either cheating on me or giving me the impression they were cheating. And it was always with an ex. Both of my marriages hit a brick wall because of another woman. After the fact, I found out the second husband had MANY.

You would think after aging a little bit I could relax because with maturity comes respect from your partner, maybe some genuine appreciation for what's in front of him...
No.
There's always someone trying to wedge themselves in between; sending those emails, facebook messages, text messages, etc,. etc...
And guys are stupid because they FALL FOR IT. "Oh we're just friends."

Sorry, but women do not have a union. In fact, it's the opposite of a union. We don't all follow rules that govern fair practices in relationships. Some women have that sneaky, underhanded m.o. that will ultimately end up in trouble for a couple she sets her sights on.

And every time I start to get comfortable, someone starts using a pry bar to get in the middle.

I could look like this....

But it wouldn't matter.

You know all those romantic comedies where the two exes hate each other but then ultimately they throw everything they have away, get back together and it's oh-so-sweet at the end? I can't stand that stuff.

Unfortunatetly it won't change. If Jennifer Aniston can't keep the other women out of the middle, then neither can I.
